In physics, the Doppler effect is the change in frequency or wavelength relative to an observer moving in relation to the source. Through a series of augmented reality illustrations, Doppler Life is a self-portrait of the daily life of the artist and graphic designer whynotpipi, the alter ego of Pedro Pereira. In this work, the mundane takes on an almost spiritual dimension, and objects and moments become a temple through which hymns to nostalgia echo — a belief that offers comfort in the hope of better days.
